No, your security deposit serves as insurance that we have funds to make any necessary repairs to the house after you move out.

How long does it take to receive our security deposit?

Michigan State Law requires that we return your security deposit within 30 days of your lease end date. However, we can return it to you much sooner than this - usually within a week or less. The cost of any repairs needed due to your actions will be taken out of your security deposit. An itemized list of security deposit deductions will be provided.

How clean does the house have to be when we vacate?

We take pride in the appearance of our homes and they are always very clean when you move in. When you leave, the entire house should be clean, including all appliances, inside and out. Carpet and/or floors should be vacuumed, swept and mopped. All garbage and personal belongings must be removed from the property.
